Tangle

For only two weeks
my hair
matches
the leaves you shake
up there
so I want to join you,
tangle
in your sharp branches
and swing
until it all falls
inevitably down
Will you float? Will I thud?
I don’t care
what happens after
to your leaves
or my hair

  2. Love it! Makes me wonder what lies beneath that well-coiffed veil . . . hmmm.

  4. I like the idea that you don't care what happens after.

  5. Oh, it is so good to read your poetry again!
I love red hair. My paternal grandmother Lydia was a red-headed Finn. I inherited only the highlights, but it's all (dark) gray now!
